General Books

The general books collection is comprises of books in  P&Q, economics, business and training which is open access and may be borrowed within the period specified for the  different categories of users.

LIC general books collection is arranged according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) call number.

Reference Collection

This collection comprises the dictionaries, encyclopedias, statistics, yearbooks, etc. for reference purposes.

MPC  Collection

MPC publications are shelved according to UDC at the MPC collection shelve. The publications includes MPC Annual Report, Productivity Annual Report, theses done by MPC’s consultants, MPC training calendar and QCC reports.

Asian Productivity Organization Collection

This is a special  collection published by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Tokyo. This collection includes APO seminars, annual report, newsletters and journals. 

Journals

1. Current journal : are displayed in alphabetical order at the journal shelves. The table of contents of the latest issue of selected new journals are scanned and can be accessed online via the WebOPAC (Internet Explorer).

2. Back-issue journal : is located in the LIC office.

3. Bound journal : is shelved according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC).

Newspapers  Collection

LIC subscribed to local and foreign newspapers such as NST, The Star, Business Times, Malay Mail, Berita Harian, Utusan Malaysia, Mingguan Malaysia, Berita Minggu, The Asia Wall Street Journal and The Edge. This collection is keep up to 1 month only. Request for this collection should be made at the Circulation Counter.

Audio-Visual Collection

There is a collection of videos and CD-ROMs that can be viewed in the AV-room. Request to use the AV materials should be made at the Circulation Counter.

Annual Report and Newsletters Collection

This collection consists of annual reports and newsletters of various companies in Malaysia.

Thesis Collection

Consists of theses and dissertations done by  MPC’s consultants which pursuing their Master and Ph. D. Thesis done by local university students  related to MPC is also available.

Statistics Collection

This collection consists of statistical reports published by the Department of Statistics (DOS).

Skim Prolus and Skim Perla Course Manual

This collection is a course manual prepared by MPC’s consultants and approved by the Majlis Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Malaysia. It is available for reference only for MPC’s consultants
